Learning Through Play and Crafts

Structure of Day

We believe a mixture of free play and structured play is best. Playing is important for the children’s social and emotional development along with building learning experiences which help them make sense of the world.

Our Ethos

When playing, children learn at their highest level. They practise building up ideas, learning how to control themselves and understanding the need for boundaries/rules. They communicate with others as they investigate and solve problems.

We offer the opportunity for them to initiate play based on their own interests and ensure that they feel secure and valued. We will continue to develop their learning based on what they already know and can do, to his or her ability.

About Toddlers United

Presently the nursery is housed in one large room, set up with different areas of age-appropriate play. In April we will be moving to a new location set up with a large room for our pre-schoolers and three rooms for the younger ones.

Included is a purpose-built arts and crafts cabin and a large outdoor space, part astro, part tarmac with a variety of outside toys and climbing apparatus. We will continue to take the children out on trips either in our minibus or on public transport.
